Toyama | Watanabe

Shuji Toyama is an 83-year-old master blacksmith based in Sanjo, Japan. He was the mentor of Shinichi Watanabe. Although they work in separate workshops, their knife collections have been merged to highlight their similar craftsmanship and the mentor-apprentice relationship they shared. These knives are renowned for their exceptional cutting abilities, featuring convex grinds and extremely thin edges. The superior aogami #2 heat treatment ensures ease of sharpening and long-lasting sharpness. Both brands, personal favorites of mine, are proudly showcased together in this collection.
