Collection: Kisuke Manaka

Manaka Hamono, established in 1872, represents five generations of blacksmithing tradition in Japan. Kisuke Manaka, the current fifth-generation craftsman, is self-taught, developing his skills through extensive study and hands-on forging. Unlike many makers who use pre-laminated materials, he forge-welds his own steel, working primarily with Hitachi steels like aogami and crafting gyutos, nakiris, and petty knives. His workshop maintains complete in-house production, refining each blade from forging to final polish.
