We're Fred and Akiko, a husband-and-wife team with a deep love for cooking and Japanese knives. Our journey began with a shared passion for food – Fred as a sushi chef and Akiko with her lifelong interest in cooking. When our plans to open a Japanese restaurant were altered by the pandemic, we embraced a new dream: to bring high-quality, authentic Japanese kitchen knives to enthusiasts of all levels.
Founded in 2019, Zahocho Knives Tokyo represents more than just a knife store.
