Collection: Yu Kurosaki
Yu Kurosaki is a master of the art of creating handmade Japanese knives and is widely regarded as one of the most skilled knifemakers in Echizen, Japan. His exceptional talent and dedication to traditional craftsmanship were recognized by the Japanese government, which awarded him the prestigious title of "master blacksmith" at a remarkably young age.
Kurosaki-san began his journey in knife-making in 2002 as an apprentice at Kanehiro hamono, where he spent 12 years honing his craft and perfecting his skills. In 2014, he established his own workshop, marking the beginning of his independent venture as an independent knife maker.
One of the hallmarks of Kurosaki-san's handmade Japanese knives is his innovative and eye-catching blade finishes, such as the Shizuku and Fujin series. He continually pushes the boundaries of conventional aesthetics, creating knives that are not only stunning but also exceptionally sharp and long-lasting, thanks to the perfect combination of modern metallurgic technology with age-old forging techniques.
