With a rich 350-year history, Nigara Hamono has preserved the art of Japanese swordsmithing through eight generations. Celebrating the notable craftsmanship of their 5th generation blacksmith, Kunitoshi Nigara, a recognized national treasure, the tradition continues with 8th generation blacksmith Go Yoshizawa. Based in Hirosaki, Aomori Prefecture, Nigara Hamono now masterfully creates Japanese kitchen knives, fusing traditional skills with modern aesthetics, thereby upholding a legacy of exceptional craftsmanship.
