Yoshikazu Ikeda is one of the most respected Sakai-based smiths. He is the current chairman of the Sakai Dentoukougeishi ("Traditional Skilled Craftsman") Association. His late brother, Tatsuo Ikeda, is also a well-respected blacksmith. Their work, especially honyaki knives, are highly sought after.
