Nagaoke-san, a Sanjo-based maker, is the current head blacksmith of the brand, Kikuhiromaru. In fact, this brand is mainly known for chisels which are very popular among Japanese carpenters and woodworkers. Kikuhiromaru bladed tools are known for their absolute sharpness and outstanding durability. The brand has specialized in White steel tools for three generations.

Nagaoke-san rarely makes knives and we are lucky to offer these beautiful blades. Despite the affordable price, these knives are well-made and consistent especially when it comes to the geometry. He is known as a perfectionist and we can see that on these blades.
