For U.S. Customers - De Minimis Rule Changes
Last updated: August 28, 2025
U.S. Customs Update
The U.S. is changing its import rules: starting August 29th, the de minimis threshold (previously $800) will no longer apply. All imports will now be subject to customs duties, regardless of value.
What We Can Do for You
- Free DHL shipping on orders over $150 (as usual — this hasn't changed)
- $30 flat rate for customs and duties
At Checkout
This will be combined with the DHL shipping fee when you check out.
It looks like this at checkout:
- "DHL Express (Free shipping + $30 customs fees)" - for orders over $150
- "DHL Express ($20 shipping + $30 customs fees)" - for orders under $150
Why Flat Rate?
It's more convenient and saves you hassle. You’ll also pay less overall than if you handled customs fees yourself after arrival.
Previously, we shipped under FOB (Free on Board) terms, which meant you only paid import duties if your order was over the de minimis limit. Now, with the de minimis rule changed, we ship using DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) via DHL — we take care of U.S. customs duties for you before your order arrives. This $30 flat rate is exactly what covers those duties, and it’s all settled in advance.
Note that we’re splitting the cost with you by absorbing part of it, rather than passing everything along.
(Important: The flat rate covers customs duties only — not sales tax if you order via the Shop app. See “About Sales Tax on the Shop App” further down.)

About Sales Tax on the Shop App
The $30 flat rate covers customs and duties only. If you order through the Shop app, you'll pay an additional sales tax (depending on your state) due to U.S. Marketplace Facilitator Laws.
To legally avoid this sales tax, simply place your order directly on our website instead of using the Shop app. This tax applies because the Shop app functions as a marketplace platform. Our website does not, which is exactly why the U.S. Marketplace Facilitator Laws don’t apply.
