Reminder: We must still have your knife with us to process this. We'll send the knife to the saya maker, and completion takes 2-3 weeks.
A made-to-order magnolia wood saya, custom-made to fit your knife. Since it's made to match your exact blade, we send your knife to our partner shop here in Japan once you order, so this saya can only be added while we still have your knife with us.
Magnolia (ho wood) is the standard choice for Japanese knife saya. Its low density gives it good breathability, so it won't trap humidity. It's also dimensionally stable, holding its fit even as humidity shifts, unlike some hardwoods that will warp or shrink easily. There's a reason it's the go-to wood for Japanese knives.
