Shipping to Israel
Japan Post is accepting EMS shipments to Israel, but they sometimes return packages to us due to the current situation in the region. Please read this before ordering.
Can you check with Japan Post first?
We already have. They accept the shipment, but they can't say in advance whether it will go through. That gets decided in transit, not at the post office counter.
If your package is returned to us
We'll email you as soon as it arrives back. You can then choose one of the following:
- A full refund.
- Reshipping via EMS at no extra cost.
- Switching to DHL. You pay the DHL rate.
If packages are coming back regularly, we may hold off on reshipping and refund you instead. We'll let you know either way.
How long it takes
When a package goes through, delivery usually takes 7 to 10 days, though it can take longer at the moment. If it's returned instead, it usually takes a few weeks to come back to us, sometimes longer, so please expect a wait. We can only refund once it's back with us.
DHL
DHL is not affected, so delivery is not a problem. It's much more expensive, around 500 ILS for a gyuto. The rate is high because we're a small shop, so we don't get the discounts that bigger retailers do. If you'd rather not wait, this is the safer option.
DHL is not available at checkout, and the rate depends on the size and weight of your order. Email us before ordering and we'll send you the actual rate along with a payment link.
