About the Steel
SPG STRIX, introduced in late 2023, is a powdered stainless steel developed by Takefu Special Steel Co. Its high hardness (~HRC 65) is achieved by strengthening the steel matrix rather than heavily relying on hard carbides like conventional powder steels. This approach makes it easier to sharpen while achieving carbon-steel-like sharpness.

He apprenticed under renowned master Kenichi Shiraki before establishing his own workshop, where he continues to craft high-performance knives with meticulous attention to detail.
