This series is forged by one of the best blacksmiths in Sakai, known for superior heat treatments and forging techniques. The sharpener is highly regarded in Sakai and has been certified as a Master of Japanese Traditional Crafts for blade grinding and sharpening by Japan’s Ministry of International Trade and Industry.
