The Takeshi Saji Rainbow Damascus Aogami #2 Gyuto is a testament to exceptional Japanese craftsmanship. Forged by renowned blacksmith Takeshi Saji, this knife seamlessly combines functionality with striking aesthetics. Its core steel, Aogami #2, is known for its superior edge retention and toughness, while the stainless cladding ensures easy maintenance.
The eye-catching Damascus pattern pairs beautifully with an exotic stag horn handle—a unique feature that introduces a touch of the wild into your kitchen. This handle provides excellent control and comfort, with naturally varied textures and coloration that lend each knife a distinct, rustic elegance.
Takeshi Saji (born 1948) is one of Japan's most esteemed blacksmiths and a founding member of Takefu Knife Village. In 1992, he was awarded the prestigious title of "Traditional Master Craftsman," a recognition reserved for Japan’s finest artisans.
Known for producing high-end hunting knives, Saji-san has exported his work internationally. His expertise in Western-style handles, often crafted from hand-selected wood or animal horn, has made him a leading figure in the industry. Many prominent blacksmiths, including Yu Kurosaki, refined their skills under his mentorship.
