The Nigara kurozome ginsan damascus kiritsuke petty is a handcrafted Japanese knife forged by Nigara Hamono. It features a core of Ginsan (Silver #3) steel, known for its excellent sharpness and ease of sharpening, qualities typically associated with carbon steel. The blade showcases a striking damascus pattern, with the spine chamfered to highlight the layered steel. As a full stainless steel construction, this knife offers minimal maintenance concerns. The blade is paired with an octagonal walnut handle, accented by a horn ferrule.

A petty knife serves as a versatile tool in the kitchen, excelling at precise tasks where larger knives might be cumbersome. It's ideal for trimming meat, slicing small vegetables, peeling fruits, and performing intricate cuts. The compact size of a petty knife allows for enhanced control and maneuverability, making it an essential companion for both home cooks and professional chefs tackling detailed kitchen work.
