Satoshi Nakagawa-san is the disciple of master blacksmith Kenichi Shiraki-san (retired in 2017). He trained under Shiraki-san for 16 years and took over at Shiraki Hamono in 2015 when his master became ill. In April 2021, he established his own workshop: Nakagawa Hamono.
Despite his relatively young age, Nakagawa-san is one of the most talented smiths, capable of forging various steels including Shirogami, Aogami, and stainless options such as VG10 and Ginsanko. In addition to laminated blades, Nakagawa-san also crafts honyaki knives. We are excited to expand our lineup with more of Nakagawa-san's exceptionally well-forged blades.
