Yoshikazu Tanaka forged this sakimaru takohiki knife for the Goh Umanosuke Yoshihiro brand. The core steel is white#2, renowned for its exceptional sharpness and user-friendly sharpening properties. The knife is fitted with a traditional octagonal magnolia handle, enhanced by a blonde horn ferrule. Sharpening was expertly executed by Masaya Shimizu of Yamawaki Hamono. Compared to a yanagiba. a takohiki is slimmer and narrower.
