Yoshikazu Tanaka forged this Sakimaru Takohiki knife for the Goh Umanosuke Yoshihiro brand. The core steel is Shirogami #2 (White #2), known for its sharpness and ease of sharpening. The knife is fitted with a traditional octagonal magnolia handle with a blonde horn ferrule. Sharpening was executed by Masaya Shimizu of Yamawaki Hamono. Compared to a Yanagiba, a Takohiki is slimmer and narrower.
