Hand-forged in Sanjo, Japan by Yoshihide Masuda, this santoku features an Aogami#1 carbon steel core clad in iron damascus. With a blade length of 194mm and a heel height of 55mm, paired with a tip profile that resembles a gyuto rather than the typical sheepsfoot shape, this knife can also be considered a tall gyuto in practice. The damascus on the blade face has a tactile texture, essentially giving it a tsuchime-like finish.
