Takamura knives are handcrafted in a small workshop in Takefu, Japan. The shop is run by three brothers who inherited the business from their father. Takamura hamono is considered as one of the top forges in Japan. Their knives are tough to acquire and have a lengthy delivery period. They pioneered the development of the highest grade stainless steel knives and has spent the past six or seven decades refining their blends.
