A minimalist custom Bunka forged by Satoshi Nakagawa. It features a core steel of Aogami #1, a popular choice for high-end Japanese kitchen knives due to its ability to take a very fine edge while maintaining excellent edge retention.
The fit and finish, along with the cross-sectional geometry, are precisely what you would expect from renowned Kawakita Hamono. This knife boasts a chamfered spine and a rounded choil, ensuring comfort and usability. It is nicely convexed and thin behind the edge without feeling delicate—offering the perfect balance of thinness and edge flex while maintaining a robust cutting ability.
