The Nakagawa tsuchime kurouchi shirogami#1 tall gyuto 240mm is a handcrafted Japanese chef's knife forged in Sakai by Satoshi Nakagawa and sharpened by Kawakita Hamono. This knife features a Shirogami #1 carbon steel core with iron cladding in sanmai construction and a tsuchime kurouchi finish. The blade measures 227mm with 56.7mm height and weighs 215g. This tall gyuto handles general kitchen tasks from slicing to chopping. The blade is thin at the edge yet substantial where needed. The iron cladding will develop a natural patina over time with use.
