Satoshi Nakagawa-san is the disciple of master blacksmith Kenichi Shiraki-san (retired in 2017). He trained under Shiraki-san for 16 years and was at the helm of Shiraki Hamono from 2015 when his master became ill. In April 2021, he established his own workshop: Nakagawa Hamono.
At a relatively young age, Nakagawa-san is one of the most talented smiths capable of forging both laminated and honyaki knives. His expertise spans carbon steels such as Shirogami and Aogami, as well as stainless steels like VG10 and Ginsanko. We are excited to expand our lineup with more of Nakagawa-san’s expertly forged blades.
