Specifications

Moribashi (plating chopsticks) are traditional Japanese garnishing tools used for precise food presentation. They are frequently used by professional chefs, especially in Japanese cuisine, where careful arrangement of ingredients is an essential part of the dining experience. With their slim stainless steel tips and balanced construction, moribashi allow the user to place delicate garnishes, herbs, thin slices of sashimi, or small vegetables with accuracy and control. They offer a level of precision that standard chopsticks or tongs cannot easily match, making them a valuable tool for anyone who enjoys thoughtful plating.

This version features a hexagonal handle, offering a distinct alternative to the more common rounded style. The flat sides provide a secure, comfortable grip and also prevent the chopsticks from rolling when placed on the table or work surface. This stability is especially useful in busy kitchens, where tools need to stay exactly where they are placed. The black pakkawood handle adds durability and moisture resistance while giving the tool a refined, understated appearance suitable for both home and professional environments.

The stainless steel tips provide strength, corrosion resistance, and consistent performance over time. Whether used for traditional Japanese dishes or modern Western plating, these moribashi support clean, intentional presentation and help elevate the visual quality of any dish.

FAQ

Why is the blade length different from the displayed size? The size in the product title is a nominal reference used by knife makers. The actual blade can be slightly longer or shorter due to handcrafting and traditional sizing. Each product page lists the exact measured length.

When will out-of-stock items be restocked? We carry limited, rotating stock. Once something sells out, we don't necessarily reorder it right away. It could be months before that item comes back, if at all. We bring in new knives regularly, but they're not always the same ones. Our newsletter is the best way to stay updated on new arrivals.

What payment methods do you accept? Visa, Mastercard, Amex, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay. No cash on delivery.
