Collection: Anryu
Anryu Hamono, now led by Takumi Ikeda, is a traditional knife workshop in Takefu Knife Village, Echizen. Previously headed by certified Echizen Traditional Craftsman Katsushige Anryu, the workshop transitioned to Ikeda’s leadership in January 2021.
Under Ikeda's direction, Anryu Hamono continues crafting Japanese kitchen knives, including gyuto, santoku, bunka, and petty styles, primarily forged from Aogami (Blue #2) and Shirogami (White #2) carbon steels. Their knives feature traditional finishes such as tsuchime (hammered) and nashiji (pear skin) patterns, blending Echizen forging methods with practical designs suited for both professional and home kitchens.
