Tojiro Co. Ltd was founded as Fujitora Farm Equipment in 1953 in Tsubame, Niigata, Japan. It was in 2015 when the name was changed to "Tojiro Co., Ltd." Note that the Fujitora brand is developed only for the Japanese domestic market; Tojiro and Fujitora is basically one and the same company. Tojiro (Fujitora) is known for its excellent value Japanese knives that even professional chefs use. The true definition of bang-for-the-buck.
