The knives from the Fuji Narihira line are much cheaper than the standard Tojiro DP series. Aside from steel difference, there is a slight difference with the handle---the Fuji Narihira series is slightly blockier compared to the standard Tojiro DP series.
I personally have the Fuji Narihira 210mm gyuto and I'd say it's a perfect knife for the price. I have no complaints with it; it has a good balance, comfortable to use, and has decent edge retention. This is just a ~60USD knife! Great value!
This line is indeed the "budget king" when it comes to Japanese knives.
